Creating an effective email marketing design takes more than taking a paragraph, throwing it into a template and sending it out. The difference in whether viewers follow through with your email will be dependent on the following factors. To start off, the font must be easy to read and not cluttered. Allow enough white space in between points to give the viewers eye a chance to rest. If you clutter too many words together you are giving the viewer's eye more work which usually sends a signal to their brain to shut off and not accept any further information.
Your email marketing design must also engage the viewer that you are sending it to. The engaging process may be accomplished in a number of different ways by associating the design to a seasonal event (holiday's, etc.), creating a scavenger hunt to force people to find your products/services, or developing designs that associate with the current weather patterns or economical trends. These are just a few ways to engage your viewership to assure they are reading, understanding and engaged in your email marketing message.
